One time anti-malware scan on Windows Server

Windows Defender’s user interface is not available on Windows Server (e.g. 2012 R2). Still, if you need to occasionally scan such a computer against malware and viruses, there is a simple solution – just run Microsoft Safety Scanner (instead of following unsupported installation scenarios to eventually be able to run Defender)!

Of courses, as indicated in the terms of use of the scanner, this is not a replacement for, nor a full anti-malware solution; however, it may be handy on some occasions.
