Leap Second at the End of 2008

I’m sure you know that a leap second will be added at the end of 2008 to adjust the Earth time to the atomic time (see this for more information about the two concepts). The last minute of 2008 will have 61 seconds. But don’t worry, if your computer is configured to use synchronize its time with a time server (NTP), it will automatically adjust the time to include the leap second at the next synchronization operation after the new year initial moment (see this for some detail from Microsoft Support).
