Windows Live Wave 3 Groups Beta

If you create Windows Live Groups using Messenger from Wave 3 Beta, it’s important to know that:

  • The group Web pages (home, photos, discussion) do not work; update: now this works, after Microsoft has rolled out some new services on their Web servers;
  • There is no way to leave the group (delete it) after you created it – the Leave Group dialog window doesn’t close or closes but nothing happens; update: now this might work, at least when you are not the owner of the group (I didn’t test, tough), after Microsoft has rolled out some new services on their Web servers;
  • When you invite people to the group they receive an email with the invitation but cannot join as the subscription Web page doesn’t work; update: now this is resolved, after Microsoft has rolled out some new services on their Web servers, as you can now resend invitation from the management page of the group Web site;
  • If you try to re-invite the same person to the group he/she does NOT receive a second e-mail with the same invitation; update: now this works, after Microsoft has rolled out some new services on their Web servers.

Hopefully all these issues will be resolved when Windows Live Wave 3 will reach its final version (and I hope I could ugrade from this Beta version to that without problems such as invalid groups that I cannot delete).
