Uspenskiy, Saratov, Russia

This post is part of the Geography Series (15th post).

Uspenskiy is a village in the Saratov Republic in the Caspian part of Russia (Europe), near the town of Pugachëv. I tried a lot to find information either about Upernskiy or Pugachëv, but couldn’t find anything important. Pugachëv town is named after Yemelyan (Emilian) Pugachëv, who was a pretender to the Russian throne in the 18th Century.

If anybody else finds information about any of these settlements, I wanted to ask him or her to please share it with us. 🙂
