Manoa, Rondônia, Brazil – Geography Series

This post is part of the Geography Series (10th post).

Manoa is a settlement in Rondônia, Brazil (South America) that seems to have been an ancient city (reported in the Amazonian people’s legends and possibly bound to Eldorado myth).

It is not far away of Porto Velho (shown in the picture), the capital of Rondônia, placed in the upper Amazon River basin. As noticed on Wikipedia, "the Amazon represents over half of the planet’s remaining rainforests and comprises the largest and most species-rich tract of tropical rainforest in the world."
